OISE Segovia offers intensive Spanish courses for students over the age of 17 who wish to improve their language skills in specific areas of academic, professional or personal life.
OISE Segovia’s courses for adults and professionals offer Spanish classes for executives, professionals, university students and, in general, people over 17 years of age who wish to learn Spanish intensively and effectively with professional teachers in a serious, but friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
Small groups of no more than 4 students per class favour individual attention and daily feedback between teacher and student. The courses are also complemented with cultural activities so that the immersion is not only linguistic but also cultural, so that students can experience and put into practice what they have learnt during the classes.
Fluency in Spanish not only opens up professional opportunities, but also enriches personal development and fosters stronger and more meaningful relationships in the business environment.

What do we offer?
The aim of OISE is to offer courses in which students learn and improve their level of Spanish by immersing themselves in a linguistic and cultural immersion programme.
OISE’s teaching philosophy is based on results-oriented classes in small groups of a maximum of 4 students, combined with interesting educational activities outside the classroom and accommodation in residence or homestay.
Who is it aimed at?
OISE Segovia offers adult learners (aged 17+) a full-day learning experience designed to achieve a precise set of learning objectives.
The course is designed for students who wish to achieve a good level of Spanish for professional or academic needs. Students review and practice the fundamentals of Spanish, deepen their understanding of the language and achieve a high level of confidence and fluency.
In these courses, special emphasis is placed on the professional focus of different areas that respond to the needs of students for work purposes, whether for work assignments or for a change of professional responsibilities that require knowledge of the language.
What does it consist of?
The programme develops language skills, confidence and fluency, and offers the opportunity to explore a wide range of topics and language areas of interest.
Language skills and abilities are developed in order to gain the autonomy and gain the autonomy and confidence to communicate in Spanish with quality and effectiveness. You will work on contemporary and everyday topics for specific purposes which respond to the interests of the students.
Subjects
The course is designed for students who wish to achieve good grades in Spanish at school. Students review and practise the basics of Spanish, deepen their understanding of the language and achieve a high level of confidence and fluency. Day sessions are dedicated to improving specific areas of language acquisition:
Plenary
Debate on a current news item or an everyday situation in which students can give their opinion or contribute solutions. Students read or watch a news item with media repercussions and a debate is generated in order to strengthen the students’ critical capacity. The teachers and mediators of the debate will explain the necessary vocabulary and will detect needs in terms of grammatical structures, expression and comprehension, which will be studied in greater depth in the following classes.
Grammatical accuracy
Exercises to reinforce the learner’s understanding of grammar, punctuation, vocabulary and language structure. This includes grammar and structure tasks in context, analysis of written texts, writing tasks and reading tasks.
Written and oral comprehension
Exercises and tasks to improve and check written and oral comprehension. This includes collaborative tasks which practise comprehension under timed conditions and summary tasks in which students are required to summarise and edit oral or written content.
Written and oral expression
Students work on writing and speaking tasks which help them to develop their accuracy, clarity and style. This includes different practice exercises and training on how to write and speak with confidence. Students are required to work on a project based on their personal needs (business, specific topics, Spanish for health, tourism, etc.) and give a presentation on Friday.
Cultural awareness
Students work on specific subjects of cultural interest such as History, Art, Music, Literature, Politics and Sociology of Hispanic culture.
The number of hours in each subject area will be determined by the total number of hours per week chosen by the student.

Classes
The course consists of 30 hours of classes per week, 6 hours per day, in Quatorial mode, with a maximum of 4 students per class. Includes teaching materials and individual attention.
Accommodation
OISE Segovia includes in the price of the course accommodation from Sunday to Saturday, in a host family with full board.

Cultural activities
All our courses include different visits or cultural activities during the week after classes, such as a guided tour of the city with a tasting of typical local products or a visit to the Cathedral and the Alcazar of Segovia.
